JERSEY SHORE KARAOKE IDOL 2014 FINAL EVENT EXTRAVAGANZA TO AWARD $10,000 GRAND PRIZE AND COVETED TITLE

The Summer May Be Over, But It’s Always “HOT” At The Jersey Shore

JERSEY SHORE KARAOKE IDOL 2014 FINAL EVENT EXTRAVAGANZA TO AWARD $10,000 GRAND PRIZE AND COVETED TITLE
Buy Your Tickets Now
The Jersey Shore came back this summer in a big way and NJ tourism proved to be resilient.  For 2014, visitor spending is projected to increase 4.3% over last year due not only to the great weather Mother Nature provided, but by the efforts of the Jersey Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau (JSCVB) to celebrate and highlight the world-famous music and arts scene that gave birth to musical legends Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen.

In that spirit, the JSCVB presented the Jersey Shore Karaoke Idol™, a summer-long music competition that will culminate in an exciting, high-energy final event extravaganza at the historic Algonquin Arts Theater in Manasquan on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 8:00 pm where the winner of the coveted Jersey Shore Karaoke Idol 2014 will be awarded the $10,000 grand prize and accept the coveted title.

Karaoke Idol

Auditions for the competition kicked off in June on Father’s Day and were held throughout the summer at venues across the shore including Jenkinson’s in Point Pleasant and the legendary Steel Pier in Atlantic City.  The events drew thousands of spectators and participants from across the country, Canada and Mexico.
come for beachkarokeOn Saturday, November 1st, twenty-five contestants were selected by a blue-ribbon panel of judges to move up to the semi-final round which will be held prior to the final event.  Ultimately, 12 finalists will compete in the final event for the coveted 2014 Jersey Shore Karaoke Idol title and the $10,000 grand prize. Click here to view a special video preview of the exciting final event:

The event is a fundraiser for the JSCVB, a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote tourism in Monmouth and Northern Ocean Counties. Tickets to the final event are $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for children and seniors and can be purchased on the web site http://jerseyshorekaraokeidol.com/.

THE JERSEY SHORE IS LOOKING FOR THE WORST SINGER IN THE WORLD AND IS WILLING TO REWARD YOU FOR IT!

A Tribute to the Tone-Deaf
Karaoke Idol
http://www.jerseyshorekaraokeidol.com

The Jersey Shore Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has put out a new challenge. They have announced: “Are you absolutely the worst singer? Do your friends yell at you when you jam out in the car? Does your cat cringe each time you belt Taylor Swift lyrics in the privacy of your own home? If so, we want to pay you $500.”

Yes you read that right; Jersey Shore Karaoke Idol™ is giving away $500 to the worst singer in the world. They proclaim that – “Talent is great and will get you far in life, but pure inability and guts can get you there too.”

In addition to getting to audition for the chance to win a $10,000 Grand Prize for being the best singer, contestants are getting the chance to compete for prizes for “Absolutely the Worst”, “Silliest” and “Senior Winner” and more.

Contestants can simply register online for a $30 fee at www.jerseyshorekaraokeidol.com and upload a YouTube video of themselves singing. Jersey Shore CVB’s Bob Hilton smiles and says, “Get your friends who hate your voice to support your journey to fame and fortune by asking them to ‘like’ the video. They can make fun of you as always, but this time you can get paid for it!”
Enter Today They DidHe continues, “Jersey Shore Karaoke Idol™ is an international singing competition that aims to find the best, and the worst, karaoke singers. With over $25,000 in cash and prizes, Jersey Shore Karaoke Idol™ is the hottest competition out there right now. Our fun and entertaining contest is different than the old boring singing shows you are used to seeing, because of the different prize categories. We want EVERYONE to be able to participate—even the tone-deaf portion of the population. You might think we’re crazy, but this is the Jersey Shore after all.  If you think you have the voice, good or bad we might have money for you.  Registration instructions and a link to a list of venues holding auditions can be found at http://jerseyshorekaraokeidol.com/register-to-audition/ .

The JSCVB’s mission is to welcome visitors as it markets the Jersey Shore as a year-round destination for events and attractions, sports, accommodations, the arts, music and culture, and weddings; providing life-long memories to its many visitors, and strong marketing benefits to its Member Businesses. The Jersey Shore Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, officially recognized by the State of New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism, is a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization covering all of Monmouth and Northern Ocean Counties.
